Una caravana plena de llibres anomenada La Barraca recorrerà les comarques del Pirineu el 2023

Amb aquesta iniciativa, es pretén contribuir a enfortir la xarxa cultural del Pirineu gràcies a les possibilitats que obre la presència de la caravana en diferents fires, mercats o festivals.

Una caravana de llibres i d’altres productes pirinencs recorrerà les nou comarques de muntanya de Catalunya durant l’any 2023. La iniciativa, anomenada La Barraca, està impulsada per la llibreria cooperativa El Refugi de la Seu d’Urgell i inspirada en el projecte que va engegar el poeta Federico García Lorca als anys trenta per portar actuacions teatrals a diverses zones rurals. D’aquesta manera, es pretén contribuir a enfortir la xarxa cultural del Pirineu gràcies a les possibilitats que obre la presència de la caravana en diferents fires, mercats o festivals. La Barraca s’ha presentat aquest divendres a la capital alturgellenca coincidint amb el primer aniversari de la llibreria i la idea és que comenci a rodar la pròxima primavera.

Un dels socis treballadors de la cooperativa El Refugi, Miquel Albero, ha definit el projecte com “una bogeria que es farà realitat”, ja que la voluntat és ampliar l’abast de l’activitat de la llibreria a tot el Pirineu de la mà de la nova caravana. Així, a banda de portar llibres, música, peces de roba i d’art, també es preveuen organitzar activitats culturals o estendre les que ja es fan en aquest establiment de la Seu d’Urgell a altres pobles de muntanya. La idea és que l’interior es pugui fer servir d’espai de lectura, però també muntar taules i cadires amb els llibres a l’exterior.

La Barraca es presentarà en altres punts del territori durant els mesos de gener i febrer, amb l’objectiu de posar-lo en pràctica a partir de la primavera. A més, el projecte està obert a la participació conjunta d’altres llibreries, ja que un dels valors d’El Refugi és el de “la cooperació i no la competència”, tal com ha assenyalat Albero. La iniciativa, que funcionarà com a prova pilot, ha rebut una subvenció per a Projectes Singulars de la Generalitat i compta amb la col·laboració de les cooperatives Drop Campers en la creació de la caravana, Dies d’agost en l’apartat comunicatiu i Nòmada Pirineu Republik en el marxandatge.

Un altre dels socis treballadors d’El Refugi, Pol Maese, ha indicat que el Pirineu ja és en si un territori complex geogràficament i que té en el despoblament un dels seus principals problemes. Per aquest motiu, creu que el projecte de la caravana pot posar “el seu granet de sorra” a l’hora dinamitzar els pobles de la zona, “fent córrer” les propostes d’un lloc a l’altre i trencant amb l’esquema d’una cultura ideada per un abast més local. En aquest sentit, Albero, ha apuntat que tot i que el teixit cultural i la producció artística és gran, hi ha una manca “d’infraestructures i serveis” que fomentin la seva cohesió i crear-ne circuits de manera mancomunada.
