Un altre 8 de març i res ha canviat massa. Un any més hem de continuar exigint els nostres drets per la igualtat de les dones i homes en el treball: igualtat de tracte i d’oportunitats. Hem de continuar lluitant per la no discriminació per raó de gènere i cridant que ens volem vives. Un altre 8 de març i continuem sense un canvi estructural i cultural real que faci visible la situació de la dona i aposti per una societat més justa i equilibrada.

No pot ser tan difícil. Dones i homes, junts, formant equip, ens podem apoderar i podem participar equitativament en tots els àmbits de la vida pública i privada. Quan les dones avancem, la societat avança.

Com a dones, no volem ser una quota que cal complir en termes de paritat. No volem sentir que ens escullen per ser dona i no per ser bones en els àmbits de presa de decisions en la vida política, econòmica i pública. La nostra opinió i el nostre treball són imprescindibles, com ho som nosaltres com a col·lectiu si volem superar els reptes que se’ns presenten com a societat en els pròxims anys.

I, especialment necessàries, som en el nostre sector: les empreses agrícoles i ramaderes de Catalunya necessiten pageses. Cal la força emprenedora i la visió transversal que la dona pot aportar al món rural si volem que aquest es mantingui viu. Som motor.

Les últimes setmanes hem vist com el sector agrari europeu, estatal i autonòmic sortia al carrer per reclamar, com fa anys que fa Unió de Pagesos, millores en les condicions de treball i viabilitat de les nostres empreses. Les pageses també hi érem! La nostra lluita és clau perquè, entre d’altres aportacions, som les que garantim el relleu generacional, fixem les famílies al territori, impulsem projectes innovadors i apostem per la sostenibilitat. Un poble sense dones envelleix i desapareix. I què més cal garantir perquè els pobles no desapareguin? Doncs serveis i oportunitats.

També som decisives, probablement, en el repte més important que afrontem ja no com a societat, sinó com a espècie. Em refereixo a l’emergència climàtica. La pagesia estem en el punt de mira. Informacions inexactes i sensacionalistes criminalitzen el nostre sector quan, en realitat, no som el problema, sinó part de la solució. I aquí, les dones hi tenim molt a dir fent pedagogia, promocionant els nostres productes de proximitat i educant els nostres fills en els valors que les nostres àvies inculcaven i practicaven com són l’amor a la terra, l’esforç en el treball, la responsabilitat en l’estalvi, i els valors de la família. Aquests valors són els que ens han fet el que som avui. A elles els hi devem continuar treballant, homes i dones, perquè cap altre 8 de març sigui només “un altre 8 de març”
