Stop JJOO denúncia l’especulació urbanística que viu el Pirineu a causa del turisme d’esquí

Aquesta situació provoca que els joves no puguin desenvolupar les seves vides a la zona on han crescut.

En una roda de premsa des de Baqueira, la plataforma STOP JJOO va denunciar l’especulació urbanística que viuen les comarques del Pirineu a causa del turisme d’esquí. Consideren que aquest model esta esgotat i no representa una solució per afrontar la greu problemàtica de l’accés a l’habitatge que pateix aquest territori.

Denuncien que accedir a un habitatge digne a les comarques del Pirineu i l’Aran és gairebé impossible, fet que s’aguditza més en aquelles que reben més pressió turística, com l’Aran, la Cerdanya o el Pallars Sobirà. Aquesta situació provoca que els joves no puguin desenvolupar les seves vides a la zona on han crescut.

A tall d’exemple, esmenten la nova urbanització de la Pleta Arriu a Baqueira, una promoció lligada a l’estació d’esquí Baqueira-Beret i que s’autodefineix com “la més luxosa”, on s’estan construint 38 habitatges a un preu de venda de 2 M d’euros cada un i que s’estan construint sobre un terreny inestable, format per restes de material d’obra, on s’han hagut de fer veritables bestieses tècniques per mirar de garantir-ne la consolidació.

Altres exemples que els membres de la Plataforma han posat de manifest són la urbanització per a ús residencial i hoteler amb capacitat per a més del triple de la població actual prevista al petit poble de Bausen, una altra nova promoció prevista a Sorpe (Alt Àneu) lligada a l’ampliació de Baqueira-Beret cap al Pallars Sobirà amb 379 habitatges previstos o la posada en subhasta dels apartaments inacabats a Espui (Vall Fosca) lligats a la construcció d’unes pistes d’esquí que porten des del 2008 aturades.

També denuncien que el poc terreny urbà disponible en aquestes comarques s’està destinant a construir segones i terceres residències de luxe exclusivament destinades al turisme i que no deixen de ser opercacions merament especulatives que, en molts casos, passen per modificacions del planejament urbanístic per acabar requalificant terrenys rústics a urbanitzables (urbans) sense que això respongui a les veritables necessitats de la gent treballadora d’aquest territori.

Una especulació amb la terra i l’habitatge que fa augmentar el cost a l’accés a un habitatge de primera residència per les persones que es volen establir aquí, recordant que el PIB del tursime és d’un 42% a l’Alt Pirineu i l’Aran, multiplicant per 3,4 la mitjana catalana, i d’un 54% a l’Aran i al Pallars Sobirà.
