Oberta la convocatòria de la VI edició del Premi Ruralapp 2019. El certamen organitzat pel Departament d’Agricultura, Ramaderia, Pesca i Alimentació(DARP) té l’objectiu d’impulsar el desenvolupament d’aplicacions mòbils en el marc del sector agroalimentari i rural, fomentar la innovació i visibilitzar les millors iniciatives presentades. Per aquesta raó, el Ruralapp reconeix tant les apps adreçades a la ciutadania en general, amb el premi Ruralapps-Ciutadania, i aquelles destinades als professionals, amb Ruralapps-Professional, ambdós dotats de 3.000 euros cadascun.

L’any 2018 es van imposar Myhealthwatcher, una app que interpreta les etiquetes dels productes d’alimentació envasats en funció del perfil personal de salut de l’usuari, i Waatic, un sistema per a l’aplicació intel·ligent de productes fitosanitaris i traçabilitat en cultius especials. Les finalistes, per la seva banda, van ser Bas de Màgia, de l’Ajuntament de la Vall d’en Bas, que permet obtenir un coneixement profund d’un entorn rural d’una manera integral i des de múltiples vessants, i VP-SUIS, una aplicació pensada per donar suport a la gestió de les explotacions porcines.
