Riba-roja d’Ebre: Suárez estudia querellar-se contra els impulsors del contenciós

Antoni Suárez, alcalde de Riba-roja d’Ebre, estudia querellar-se contra els ajuntaments que impulsen el contenciós administratiu contra l’abocador de residus industrials projectat al municipi. En declaracions a l’ACN, el batlle ha lamentat que s’hagi judicialitzat un “acte administratiu”, sobrepassant un límit que no s’hauria d’haver traspassat mai.

Segons l’alcalde, els serveis jurídics del consistori estan estudiant les actuacions dels opositors al projecte i comprovaran la correcció dels procediments administratius que envolten el contenciós. Concretament, han avisat que si detecten indicis de presumpta prevaricació i malversació de cabals públics, entenent que s’han pres acords contra un altre ajuntament per al quals no són competents, es reserven “el dret de presentar una querella criminal contra tots els responsables de votar aquests acords”. A banda, Suárez ha remarcat el dret a decidir de Riba-roja i la pròpia sobirania del municipi.

Amb tot i malgrat l’amenaça de querella, Suárez ha volgut fer una “crida a la calma i a la concòrdia”, i ha instat a “evitar que es judicialitzi una llicència d’obres municipal”. En aquest sentit, ha entregat gairebé 500 signatures a favor del projecte al Consell Comarcal de la Ribera d’Ebre. Per la seva banda, després de rebre les firmes, la presidenta del Consell, Gemma Carim, ha insistit que aquesta no és “una lluita entre pobles” i s’ha remés a la moció aprovada pel ple del Consell el 30 de gener en contra del dipòsit de residus -una iniciativa prèviament acordada en el Consell d’Alcaldes

D’altra banda, el president de la Generalitat, Quim Torra, preveu rebre l’alcalde de Riba-roja el 9 de maig. Suárez s’ha mostrat satisfet de poder explicar “la realitat” del poble i d’oferir-li “una visió diferent de la que s’està oferint des del Consell Comarcal”. L’alcalde vol traslladar al president la realitat industrial de la Ribera, que genera “el 92% del PIB comarcal”, la necessitat d’impulsar un pla de reindustriaització a la comarca i l’incipient problema de despoblament.
