L’ICAEN celebra la segona edició del Fòrum Ciutadà per l’Energia

L’Institut Català d’Energia (ICAEN) ha celebrat aquest divendres passat la segona edició del Fòrum Ciutadà per l’Energia. L’objectiu d’aquesta trobada és oferir un espai a  la ciutadania, administració i entitats del sector energètic per debatre i plantejar els temes clau de la transició energètica a Catalunya, de manera que es pugui avançar en la construcció d’un nou model renovable, distribuït i participatiu.

Enguany, el Fòrum, que ha tingut lloc en format virtual, ha permès debatre, intercanviar coneixements i identificar els reptes de la transició cap al nou model energètic.

 

La consellera d’Acció Climàtica, Alimentació i Agenda Rural, Teresa Jordà, ha obert la jornada  destacant el paper rellevant de les comunitats d’energia com a “instrument de la ciutadania per participar en el mercat energètic, comprant, venent, compartint i gestionant l’energia que produeix i consumeix”. Jordà ha defensat que “el nou model distribuït, democràtic i inclusiu necessita de l’apoderament de la ciutadania, que ha de participar en la transició energètica de forma activa en el propi mercat energètic essent consumidora, però també, a la vegada, generadora d’energia”.

 

Tot seguit ha tingut lloc una sessió plenària, dirigida per la periodista Agnès Marqués i encapçalada per David Villar, cap de Prospectiva Energètica i Sostenibilitat de l’ICAEN. La sessió ha tractat sobre els escenaris de futur i les necessitats i requeriments de la demanda i de consum de l’energia, dades que s’estan treballant en la Prospectiva Energètica de Catalunya per al 2050, que ha de donar les pautes per avançar cap al nou model energètic que volem.

 

Partint de la voluntat de posar la ciutadania al centre, a continuació s’han celebrat tres taules de treball simultànies entorn de tres temes: el model economicosocial, la producció d’energia i la sostenibilitat ambiental; cadascun d’ells centrat, respectivament, en l’eficiència energètica i les energies renovables com a motor econòmic, la generació d’energia en espais urbans i en polígons industrials i, per últim, la preservació de la diversitat i del paisatge.

 

L’acte s’ha tancat amb la intervenció de la directora de l’ICAEN, Marta Morera, que ha recollit les aportacions i ha encoratjat els assistents a continuar participant i formant part de la transició cap al nou model energètic a Catalunya.

La política energètica de la Generalitat de Catalunya és una prioritat de primer ordre que té la missió d’assolir una economia i una societat de baixa intensitat energètica i baixa emissió de carboni, innovadora, competitiva i sostenible en línia amb els objectius europeus en matèria d’energia.
