Les pageses ens reivindiquem

El 15 d’octubre és el Dia Internacional de la Dona Rural. Personalment, a Unió de Pagesos tinc diferents responsabilitats i és una satisfacció molt gran veure com els afiliats, els sindicalistes més implicats i l’equip tècnic de la casa confien en mi per portar-les a terme. Sense el seu treball i suport no seria possible.

Si tenir aquestes responsabilitats al sindicat són un orgull personal, encara ho és més el fet que m’escollissin representant del sector social de Dones d’Unió de Pageses. Les pageses som imprescindibles. I hem de començar a creure’ns-ho nosaltres mateixes. La pagesia i la resta de la societat ens necessita. Som les que fixem les famílies al territori, aportem emprenedoria, innovació i autoestima al sector. La nostra visió transversal de la vida rural ha estat i serà sempre el pal de paller de la pagesia catalana. Unió de Pagesos és l’únic sindicat agrari que té aquesta sensibilitat vers el paper de la dona en el món rural, i per això hem organitzat territorialment aquest sector social i hem aconseguit tenir representació a tot Catalunya. La majoria de la pagesia és masculina, i s’ha de sentir molt orgullosa que el nostre sindicat aposti pel paper imprescindible de les pageses si realment volen viure a pagès i de pagès. Creiem en polítiques d’igualtat reals perquè tots tinguem les mateixes oportunitats i treballem per anar canviant les coses, per millorar la nostra qualitat de vida i el nostre entorn laboral.

 

A Catalunya, el sindicat majoritari que representa la pagesia davant de les administracions i de la societat en general va ser escollit democràticament a les eleccions agràries. Tothom hauria de tenir clar què comporta aquesta representativitat, però ens adonem que no sempre és així. Per commemorar el Dia Internacional de la Dona Rural, el Departament d’Acció Climàtica, Alimentació i Agenda Rural ha organitzat una jornada en la què trobem a faltar la participació de les dones actives en el món agrari i, sobretot, que no s’hagi tingut en compte el sector de Dones d’Unió de Pagesos.

 

Què en traiem que ens omplin de paraules maques i que ens parlin de democràcia tan alegrement els nostres polítics si a l’hora de la veritat el que preval és fer-se la foto? Volem polítiques reals per a nosaltres i això comença per valorar qui té la veu del sector de veritat. Des d’aquí ens reivindiquem. Perquè hi som. Perquè treballem la terra, cuidem els nostres animals i construïm un país rural fort i estable com la nostra societat es mereix.
