Les Masies de Voltregà gestionarà les dejeccions ramaderes amb la creació d’una planta de biogàs pública

La inversió és de 5,1 MEUR i el consistori ha presentat el projecte al ministeri de Transició Energètica per aconseguir una subvenció del 80%.

L’Ajuntament de les Masies de Voltregà (Osona) acaba de presentar un projecte per crear una planta de biogàs pública amb l’objectiu de donar sortida a les dejeccions ramaderes del territori. A més, la infraestructura també s’alimentarà de la fracció orgànica que genera el poble, dels fangs de les depuradores i de la matèria orgànica provinent de la indústria càrnia del municipi. L’alcaldessa, Verònica Ruiz, ha explicat que l’energia que es generi es destinarà a l’enllumenat públic i a donar llum als equipaments municipals i del producte que en resulti es vendrà com a fertilitzant. La inversió és de 5,1 MEUR i el consistori ha presentat el projecte al ministeri de Transició Energètica per aconseguir una subvenció del 80%.

L’Ajuntament de les Masies de Voltregà projecta construir una planta de biogàs de 900 kw al polígon de Torruella en uns terrenys de propietat municipal. L’alcaldessa, Verònica Ruiz, ha explicat que l’objectiu és que a partir dels purins i el residu orgànic és pugui generar l’energia elèctrica i tèrmica necessària per a l’autoconsum de l’enllumenat públic i dels equipaments municipals i també es pugui generar fertilitzant de qualitat (la matèria residual que en queda un cop extret el biogàs).

A semblança de la planta que es vol crear a les Masies de Voltregà, n’hi ha sis a tot Catalunya, aquesta, però, aquesta seria la primera a nivell públic. De fet, Ruiz ha destacat que si el projecte aconsegueix tirar endavant, esperen que el seu model circular de generació d’energia sigui atractiu per a altres pobles i ciutats. Ruiz ha recordat que a diferència de les plantes de fotovoltaiques o les plantes d’energia eòlica, “la de biogàs pot produir energia 24 hores al dia els 365 dies l’any”.

La planta tindrà capacitat per gestionar 23 tones anuals, entre purins, matèria orgànica (cal que sigui pura en un 99%), fangs de la depuradora i subproducte de la indústria càrnia. De fet, els estudis tècnics han determinat que el purí suposarà el 30% de tot allò que entri a la planta. Després, segons sigui necessària per a la generació de l’energia, s’afegirà més d’una partida o d’una altra. Des del consistori es pensa que el perfil d’empresari que portarà el purí a la planta és més aviat el de granges petites del municipi i la comarca.

La voluntat del consistori és la creació de la primera planta pública, i preveuen que el ministeri de Transició Energètica pugui subvencionar el 80% del cost. La resta, el 20% d’aquests 5,1 MEUR encara estan buscant qui els podria acabar de finançar entre els organismes públics catalans (el mateix consistori, Diputació de Barcelona o Generalitat). Amb tot, si el ministeri no es decidís a apostar pel projecte, l’alcaldessa ha explicat que hi hauria un grup d’empresaris privats interessats en sufragar-lo. En aquest escenari, la planta passaria a tenir una gestió público-privada.

Segons els càlculs del consistori, la planta podria entrar en funcionament el 2025.
