L’alcalde de Salou lamenta la poca implicació del Govern en defensar el projecte de Hard Rock

L’alcalde de Salou, Pere Granados, ha lamentat que el Govern no “treballi de valent la defensa” del projecte de Hard Rock. El batlle considera que són més aquells que estan a favor del macroprojecte, però que “només parlen” els contraris. Granados ha insistit que el centre recreatiu aportarà sostenibilitat econòmica a les comarques tarragonines i contribuirà a la desestacionalització del turisme. L’alcalde ho ha dit aquest dilluns en l’obertura del primer Salou Congress, una convenció sobre turisme de costa que se celebra fins aquest dimarts al municipi. En les dues jornades es tractaran qüestions com la transformació del model de ‘Sol i platja’ i les noves oportunitats de la tecnologia per garantir un creixement sostenible turístic.

Pere Granados ha reclamat al govern català que “tiri endavant tota la qüestió administrativa” del Hard Rock i ha tornat a exigir que des de l’executiu es defensi el projecte. “És molt important sentir a parlar tot aquest grup d’empreses i d’administracions que estem a favor de la implantació d’aquest projecte. De moment, només parlen els que estan en contra, però jo crec que som molts més els que estem a favor”, ha insistit. Alhora, ha remarcat que el macrocomplex “accelerarà” la desestacionalització del turisme: “Nosaltres volem ser sostenibles econòmicament i socialment perquè volem treballar durant tot l’any, el Hard Rock ens ajudarà molt perquè obrirà durant dotze mesos”.

200 milions d’euros per a municipis turístics dels Next Generation

Salou organitza aquest dilluns i dimarts el primer Salou Congress, una convenció sobre turisme de ‘Sol i platja’ per tal de debatre qüestions com ara el finançament, el canvi de model o la transformació digital, entre d’altres. Durant l’obertura del congrés, el secretari d’Estat de Turisme, Fernando Valdés, ha destacat que els municipis de costa volen captar el turisme durant els dotze mesos de l’any i ha manifestat el compromís del govern espanyol amb el sector turístic.

 

Valdés ha recordat que s’han destinat més de 200 milions d’euros provinents dels fons Next Generation a municipis turístics de tot l’estat espanyol. D’aquests, 35 milions d’euros aniran a la demarcació de Tarragona i sis milions, concretament a Salou. Uns diners que ajudaran a “apostar per la mobilitat sostenible i un turisme cada vegada més intel·ligent”, segons el secretari d’Estat de Turisme.
