La pesquera número 11 de l’estany de Banyoles, més coneguda com a pesquera Gimferrer, ha recuperat l'”esplendor original” i l’estil racionalista que li va donar l’arquitecte municipal Francesc Figueres el 1948 quan va rebre l’encàrrec de la família que en tenia la concessió. Les reformes, que han costat 110.000 euros, han posat en valor els elements estructurals com les finestres allargades i panoràmiques i s’ha incorporat de nou la pèrgola de fusta que els anys vuitanta es va treure. L’any 2018 va passar a ser de nou municipal després que la propietat renunciés a la titularitats dels drets d’ús. L’Ajuntament preveu fer-ne un ús polivalent amb activitats de petit format, com ara concerts, presentacions i activitats de promoció turística.
