Gelida ha aprovat la modificació urbanística necessària per construir l’Agroparc d’Ametller Origen

La modificació urbanística aprovada inicialment aquest dilluns al ple de Gelida entra ara en fase d’al·legacions per passar després a la votació de l’aprovació provisional, també a l’Ajuntament.

L’Ajuntament de Gelida (Alt Penedès) ha aprovat inicialment la modificació urbanística per tirar endavant la construcció de l’Agroparc impulsat per Ametller Origen. Al ple municipal extraordinari celebrat aquest dilluns la majoria de grups polítics excepte la CUP -que hi ha votat en contra- i els Comuns -absents per baixa de la regidora- han donat suport a modificar el Pla Parcial de Can Juncoses i les finques colindants. El canvi avalat per ERC, Primàries i PSC facilita que la firma agroalimentària pugui crear un parc productiu de 258 hectàrees, amb una inversió de 180 MEUR. El debat al ple ha estat marcat per la protesta dels col·lectius ecologistes contraris a l’Agroparc, que han organitzat una tractorada i una manifestació a l’Ajuntament.

Ara fa poc més d’un any, Ametller Origen va anunciar la represa del projecte de l’Agroparc, el qual havia deixat en pausa el 2018 per la falta d’entesa amb agents polítics i socials del territori. Amb la nova proposta, la companyia agroalimentària ampliava el projecte del gran recinte d’economia circular, passant de 120 hectàrees a ocupar-ne 258 però ressaltava que el recinte ja no es projectava sobre terrenys rústics.

La nova proposta es focalitza en la zona de Can Juncoses, uns terrenys ja qualificats com a industrials i pendents de desenvolupament. En el moment d’anunciar el nou format de l’Agroparc, el conseller delegat de la companyia, Josep Ametller, augurava que l’espai podria obrir a finals del 2025 i projectava la creació de 3.100 llocs de treball entre directes, indirectes i induïts.

La modificació urbanística aprovada inicialment aquest dilluns al ple de Gelida entra ara en fase d’al·legacions per passar després a la votació de l’aprovació provisional, també a l’Ajuntament. Si se supera aquest segon tràmit, el document es traslladarà a la comissió territorial d’urbanisme per a la seva aprovació definitiva.
