Fumanya restaura la pell d’un dels últims dinosaures del món

El centre d’interpretació de Fumanya, a Fígols (Berguedà), ha restaurat la pell d’un dels últims dinosaures del món. En concret, es tracta d’una empremta de la pell d’un titanosaure de fa 66 milions d’anys. És una peça única, de 50 centímetres, on s’aprecien perfectament les escates del dinosaure, que van quedar marcades en un terreny fangós en caure o recolzar-se a terra. La pell del dinosaure es va localitzar ara fa quatre anys, gairebé per casualitat, i corria el risc de desaparèixer. Finalment, a finals dels 2019, es va dur a l’Institut Català de Paleontologia, on s’ha restaurat. Ara, des del centre, reclamen una actuació urgent per conservar les 3.500 petjades de dinosaure que hi ha al jaciment, un dels més importants del món.
