Família Torres reconeix la sostenibilitat de Sabadell i les Balears als Premis Torres & Earth

Família Torres ha reconegut la ciutat de Sabadell i les Illes Balears com a territoris sostenibles en el marc dels Premis Torres & Earth lliurats aquest divendres. La firma vinícola ha lloat la capital vallesana pel seu Pla d’energia sostenible per al període 2021-2020, amb què es proposa invertir 90 MEUR per reduir les emissions contaminants més d’un 55%. En el cas de les Balears, Torres n’ha destacat l’impuls de l’autoconsum d’energia solar compartida. D’altra banda, els guardons també han distingit el distribuïdor d’ampolles Veralia pel propòsit de reduir les emissions de CO2 un 46% els propers deu anys, alhora que han premiat els viticultors penedesencs Jaume i Albert Cardó pel seu compromís mediambiental en la gestió de les vinyes.

Pel que fa a la categoria de Divulgació i Conscienciació del canvi climàtic, els Premis Torres & Earth han reconegut la tasca del periodista ambiental Clemente Álvarez, director de la secció Clima i Medi Ambient de El País, i de l’influencer Javier Peña.
