El Departament de Territori i Sostenibilitat ha encarregat a Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat (FGC) la signatura d’un conveni amb la Mancomunitat de municipis per a la promoció de l’esquí nòrdic per a destinar 300.000 euros a la promoció d’aquest esport. Aquesta inversió té per objectiu potenciar aquesta disciplina i dinamitzar les activitats de muntanya que es duen a terme a les set estacions d’aquesta modalitat d’esquí que hi ha a Catalunya. Mitjançant el conveni de col·laboració, es vol donar resposta a les necessitats d’adquisició i renovació de les infraestructures i equipaments existents.
La inversió es destinarà a les estacions cerdanes de Guils Fontanera, Lles de Cerdanya, Aransa, les alturgellenques de Sant Joan de l’Erm i Tuixent-La Vansa i les pallareses de Virós Vallferrera i Tavascan. Les actuacions es desenvoluparan durant aquest any i el vinent i s’emmarquen dins del conjunt d’accions previstes al Grup de Treball de les estacions d’esquí nòrdic, creat en marc de la Taula estratègica de les estacions de muntanya amb l’objectiu d’analitzar la seva situació i els seus reptes de futur.
