Els pescadors del Delta traslladen les seves preocupacions a la Comissió d’Estudi sobre la Protecció del Delta

Lamenten que la pesca és una activitat "molt tocada" pel canvi climàtic, però també "per l'acció de les administracions" que amb les contínues normatives fan complicada la continuïtat el sector.

Les confraries de pescadors del Delta de l’Ebre han traslladat aquest dimarts a la Comissió d’Estudi sobre la Protecció del Delta les seves inquietuds al voltant de la contínua amenaça de regressió de l’Illa de Buda. El secretari de la Confraria de Pescadors de Deltebre, Pasqual Chacón, s’ha mostrat molt crític i ha demanat als grups parlamentaris presents que el sector i el conjunt del territori necessita “més inversions i menys comissions d’estudi”. En aquesta línia, el secretari de la Confraria de Pescadors de l’Ampolla, Joan Balagué, ha lamentat que la pesca sigui una activitat “molt tocada” pel canvi climàtic, però també “per l’acció de les administracions” que amb les contínues normatives fan complicada la continuïtat el sector.

Durant la Comissió d’Estudi també s’ha posat damunt la taula aspectes com la gestió de la plaga del cranc blau, una espècie introduïda però que ha trobat una important acceptació comercial gràcies a les captures regulades. De fet, i segons el director general de Política Marítima i Pesca Sostenible, Sergi Tudela, anualment al Delta se n’agafen un milió i mig d’exemplars, tot i que assegura que la població de cranc blau “ja no està creixent exponencialment“.

 

Per la seva banda, els representants dels pescadors han defensat la comercialització d’aquestes noves espècies per a la supervivència del sector. “L’alternativa quina és? Perdre les nostres espècies autòctones i no poder comercialitzar les noves?”, es qüestiona l’assessor jurídic de la Confraria de Pescadors de la Ràpita i secretari de la Federació Nacional Catalana de Confraries de Pescadors, Mario Vizcarro.

Sobre el futur del sector, Vizcarro ha defensat la diversificació de la seva economia amb projectes com el del turisme pesquer, per tal de revertir una situació que considera “crítica” i demana a les autoritats competents que apostin pel Delta de l’Ebre, ja que “protegir el delta, és protegir el sector primari”.

 

En la mateixa línia s’han mostrat els secretaris de les confraries de Deltebre i l’Ampolla, Paqual Chacón i Joan Balagué, els quals lamenten “viure resignats” en un sector que s’està perdent per la pressió continua de les administracions i les respectives normatives.

 

L’Associació Sediments denuncia que “no s’està fent res”

D’altra banda, qui també ha participat en la Comissió d’Estudi sobre la Protecció del Delta de l’Ebre és l’Associació Sediments, amb Josep Juan Segarra com a representant, qui ha denunciat que “no s’està fent res” en la gestió d’aquesta matèria de la zona. Per aquest motiu, planteja la “creació d’un pla de gestió integral dels sediments de la conca”, sobre el qual, assegura, “no s’està treballant”. En aquesta línia, Segarra proposa que “l’empresa que estigui explotant les presses hauria de pagar part de la gestió dels sediments”.

Una nova sessió de la Comissió que també ha servit per fer el relleu al capdavant de la presidència. A l’inici de la compareixença, s’ha votat la nova presidenta, Maria Jesús Vinya, qui ocuparà el lloc que ha deixat Lluís Salvadó, recentment nomenat president del Port de Barcelona.
