Després d’un any dur, torna a ser 8 de març. Un any en el què les dones rurals hem demostrat la nostra resiliència. Estem acostumades a treballar amb molts factors en contra i hem fet front a la pandèmia perquè ni a les nostres famílies ni a la resta de la societat els hi falti res. Han tancat escoles, centres d’atenció primària, assistència domiciliaria a la gent gran i restauració, i han disminuït les possibilitats de transport. La pandèmia també ha fet que la societat urbana sigui una mica més conscient de la nostra importància. Viure a pagès, per a la gran majoria, és una opció triada i lliure en la que ens desenvolupem personalment i professionalment.

Però per aconseguir l’autonomia econòmica, social i afectiva de les pageses ens calen serveis bàsics als pobles i oportunitats econòmiques. Les empreses agràries familiars són el pal de paller de la Catalunya rural. Aporten equilibri territorial, sostenibilitat, i produeixen aliments 100% sans i segurs. S’ha fet evident la força del producte de proximitat i la fragilitat de les produccions que es troben a mans de la indústria i de la gran distribució. Vam veure com les dones dels pobles s’organitzaven per cosir mascaretes i portaven menjar i proporcionaven cures a les persones dependents per substituir les carències que patim als pobles durant els confinaments. Tampoc hem d’oblidar que s’han agreujat situacions de violència de gènere.

Si volem una societat justa i equitativa calen polítiques efectives que ens defensin i ajuts per pal·liar els efectes de la pandèmia sostinguts en el temps, fins que es pugui recuperar la normalitat, i una aposta dels consumidors pels nostres productes.

Més conscienciades i lluitadores que mai, continuarem fent la nombrosa feina que queda per fer per aconseguir la igualtat entre el món rural i l’urbà, i entre gèneres, en un futur que es presenta incert econòmicament, però no tinc cap dubte que la saviesa de les dones rurals ajudarà a construir-lo. El repte demogràfic, la transició energètica i la sostenibilitat de les produccions no es poden entendre sense les aportacions innovadores a l’agricultura i a la ramaderia que aporta la visió de la dona.
