El Bages, entre les 10 comarques més competitives

El Bages escala posicions i és cola entre les comarques més competitives de Catalunya, segons el rànquing comarcal de competitivitat de la Federació Empresarial del Gran Penedès (FEGP). Concretatament, el cor de la Catalunya central es col·loca en desena posició, darrere del Barcelonès, Vallès Occidental, Gironès, Baix Llobregat, Tarragonès, Segrià, Vallès Oriental, Maresme, Garraf. L’índex, que ha estat elaborat per la consultora Actíva Prospect, mostra estabilitat entre les comarques que ocupen les vuit primeres posicions, ostentades totes per comarques de l’àmbit metropolità i per les capitals de demarcació. No és fins a la novena posició que es registren canvis. Així, el Garraf escala de la desena a la novena posició i el Bages arriba a la desena provinent de l’onzena. En canvi, Osona baixa dues posicions i perd la novena posició fins a l’onzena.

Per contra, la Terra Alta tanca la llista, precedida de les Garrigues i l’Alta Ribagorça, arran del procés de destrucció del teixit empresarial que s’està vivint en aquestes zones. En canvi, el Pallars Sobirà i la Ribera d’Ebre han registrat els majors creixements de la part baixa de la taula, gràcies a la positiva evolució dels indicadors d’escolarització postobligatòria, al dinamisme del sector immobiliari i a al creació d’empreses. Amb tot, les tres comarques dels últims llocs han augmentat el seu índex de competitivitat i, de fet, l’única que registra un empitjorament en aquest sentit és el Pallars Jussà.

Una de les conclusions d’aquesta edició és que la distància entre les comarques amb índex de competitivitat més alts i les que els tenen més baixos tendeix a incrementar-se. Això s’explica pel fet que les comarques que lideren el rànquing estan més exposades a un context global de competitivitat i tendeixen a reforçar aquells vectors que els permeten avançar, com per exemple l’accés als mercats internacionals. Per contra, això suposa greus problemes mediambientals i l’encariment del preu del sol.
