El Col·lectiu Ribera d’Ebre 2030 es posiciona a favor de l’abocador de Riba-Roja. El grup, format per alcaldes i representants electes de comarca, ha presentat avui un manifest on es defensa que s’han de trobar solucions al despoblament que compatibilitzin tots els sectors productius. Segons els batlles, ara com ara, “la comarca s’enfronta a dos grans reptes que determinaran el seu futur, el despoblament, amb la pèrdua de 1.652 habitants en set anys i l’envelliment dels que queden, i el tancament de les centrals nuclears, que suposarà l’eliminació de 1.000 llocs de treball”. Per aquest motiu, aposten per compatibilitat d’un futur industrial amb el desenvolupament d’altres sectors com el turisme o l’agricultura.

En aquest sentit, es demana a la Generalitat que defineixi com a “industrialització preferent” els eixos Ascó-Flix-Riba-roja i Móra d’Ebre-Móra la Nova-Tivissa, i exigeix al govern espanyol un pla d’inversions per fomentar i captar “economia productiva” abans que tanquin les centrals nuclears. També es proposa la creació d’una IGP (Indicació Geogràfica Protegida) per a la cirera i el préssec que es produeix a la comarca i que s’incloguin tots els pobles a la Reserva de la Bioesfera. “Si no prenem decisions i determinacions, quedarem en una situació molt complexa de remuntar. No anem en contra de ningú, estem a favor de la creació d’activitat econòmica, sense excloure a ningú ni a cap sector”, ha insistit.

El Col·lectiu Ribera d’Ebre 2030 està format pels representants electes de Tivissa, Ginestar, Garcia, Móra la Nova, Ascó, Riba-roja d’Ebre i Flix, que justifiquen la seva creació afirmant que han volgut “fer un pas endavant” per trencar amb el que consideren un “intent de donar una visió uniformitzada” sobre el que vol la comarca per al seu futur. “Hi ha moltes maneres de pensar. No hi ha un consens unànime sobre el model econòmic de la Ribera d’Ebre. El consens existia però alguns l’han oblidat”, ha denunciat l’alcalde de Tivissa, Jordi Jardí, en referència a l’acord pres per unanimitat del Consell Comarcal l’any 2011.

El manifest de Col·lectiu insisteix en la compatibilitat d’impulsar un sector industrial que prengui el relleu a la química de Flix, i sobretot a les nuclears, a l’hora de crear ocupació, amb altres models turístics i agroalimentaris que també poden funcionar a la Ribera d’Ebre. Jardí ha posat diferents exemples, com el cas de l’empresa Cerima Cherry, el parc natural de Sebes de Flix, o el parc temàtic de Portaventura.

“Creiem que hem de fer un pas responsable per dir que no som la gent del No, no volem ser corresponsables d’aquesta política excloent. El No a tot no ens ha portat mai res a la nostra comarca i tampoc combreguem amb l’anomenat fatalisme ebrenc. No tot ho justifiquen els mals que vénen de fora”, ha defensat l’alcalde de Tivissa. “Volem ser garants de la seguretat jurídica de les empreses que vinguin a contractar gent de casa nostra. Perquè avui, demà i l’altre se’ls digui que sí i que no depengui de calendaris electorals ni de capricis personals”, ha sentenciat Jardí.
