Girona ajudarà als municipis petits a rehabilitar els cementiris

La Diputació de Girona ajudarà als ajuntaments de 1.000 habitants o menys a posar al dia els cementiris municipals. L’ens ha aprovat per unanimitat l’obertura d’una línia d’ajuts per valor de 200.000 euros destinats a obres de rehabilitació i millores de les instal·lacions, com ara teulades i parets en mal estat, la creació d’osseres, instal·lació de lavabos o millores en l’accessibilitat. Les subvencions es mouran entre 5.000 i 50.000 euros i només afavoriran els cementiris de propietat municipal.

“Hi ha molts ajuntaments petits que tenen vertaderes dificultats per fer-ne el manteniment”, ha afirmat Fermí Santamaria, vicepresident primer de l’ens. El diputat també ha precisat que no es podran incloure les obres de millores de nínxols, ja que aquest és un servei que els ajuntaments ofereixen a les famílies a canvi del pagament d’una quota. En canvi, els danys estructurals sí que se subvencionaran.

Pel que fa als treballs, s’hi podran afegir tant aquells que han estat realitzats des del gener de 2019 i com els que es portin a terme en els 18 mesos següents a l’aprovació definitiva de les bases, tot i que hi ha vocació de iterar la convocatòria. Es preveu que els ajuts es puguin demanar abans de setembre.
