Atorguen la distinció de Vins de Finca Qualificada a dos nous vins de la DO Empordà i la DO Penedès

Jordà ha posat de manifest que aquesta distinció és una aposta "decidida" per reforçar l'estratègia de millora del posicionament dels vins catalans.

Els guardonats amb la distinció Vins de Finca Qualificada celebren amb la consellera d'Acció Climàtica, Alimentació i Agenda Rural, Teresa Jordà.

Els vins V d’O 2, del celler Vinyes d’Olivardots (DO Empordà), i Avi Ton, del celler Eduald Massana Noya (DO Penedès), han rebut la distinció de Vins de Finca Qualificada que atorga la Generalitat, a través del Departament d’Acció Climàtica, Alimentació i Agenda Rural. Es tracta del màxim reconeixement que pot aconseguir un vi català. Així, a través del V d’O2 la DO Empordà compta per primera vegada amb un representant en aquest grup de vins “insígnia”, tal com els qualifica el Departament. Avi Ton, al seu torn, se suma als quatre vins del celler Jean Leon (La Scala, Le Havre, Vinya Gigi i Vinya Palau) que ja disposen de la distinció com a representants de la DO Penedès.

Els responsables d’aquests dos cellers han rebut el diploma de mans de la consellera Teresa Jordà i de la directora de l’Institut Català del Vi (Incavi), Alba Balcells, en un acte que ha tingut lloc aquest dilluns a la tarda al Palau de Pedralbes de Barcelona. Durant l’esdeveniment també s’ha fet entrega dels diplomes als altres dotze vins que ja comptaven amb aquesta distinció.

Jordà ha destacat que els Vins de Finca Qualificada són un “element essencial” per augmentar “la notorietat, prestigi i estructuració dels segments més consolidats del conjunt del vi català”. També ha posat de manifest que són una aposta “decidida” per reforçar l’estratègia de millora del posicionament dels vins catalans.

Catalunya compta actualment amb 14 Vins de Finca Qualificada de 6 DO diferents, 4 vins de la DOQ Priorat (Clos Mogador, Mas de la Rosa, Clos Fontà i Coma Blanca), 5 de la DO Penedès (La Scala, Le Havre, Vinya Gigi, Vinya Palau i Avi Ton), 2 de Pla de Bages (3.9 i Arnau Oller), 1 de la DO Montsant (Teixar), 1 de la DO Terra Alta (Mas Edetària Selecció) i 1 de la DO Empordà (V d’O2).

Entre d’altres, els requisits principals que s’exigeixen als Vins de Finca Qualificada són una antiguitat mínima de cinc anys en el registre de la Denominació d’Origen, que el propietari de les vinyes i el del celler siguin el mateix, que el vi s’elabori en un entorn amb característiques edàfiques i microclimàtiques concretes, que el celler tingui una trajectòria de prestigi i qualitat al mercat per un període d’almenys deu anys i que el vi tingui una traçabilitat específica integral des de la producció a la comercialització.
