Al món rural també ens cal atreure i retenir talent femení

Com a pageses i dones rurals, amb motiu de la celebració del Dia Internacional de la Dona Rural, el 15 d’octubre, ens podríem fer ressò de moltes reivindicacions. Algunes, històriques d’igualtat, plenament vigents, i d’altres,  més actuals, que la situació de pandèmia que ens toca viure aquest any ha fet aflorar d’una manera molt clara. Des del sector social de Dones d’Unió de Pagesos hem treballat per detectar aquestes deficiències i reclamar, a qui pertoqui, solucions.

Al món rural patim una manca de serveis que no ve d’ara. Políticament, és molt fàcil omplir-se la boca al parlar de la Catalunya rural, amb paraules com “despoblament”, “relleu generacional”, “oportunitats”, “emprenedoria”, “apoderament de la dona”… Però, quan temps fa que en parlem? Quan fa que fem política d’aparador? On són les solucions reals? Sense uns serveis sanitaris i d’ensenyament dignes, sense accés a l’habitatge, sense unes bones connexions a internet, sense unes infraestructures de comunicació sòlides, no som res més que un parc temàtic pensat perquè la gent de ciutat vingui a fer turisme.

 

Les muntanyes, les planes, els rius i els mars de casa nostra són cuidats pels pagesos i les pageses. Som gent que vivim i treballem tot l’any al territori perquè l’estimem, perquè és casa nostra, i també ho fem perquè la gent gaudeixi de productes de proximitat sans i segurs i dels paisatges impressionants que ens envolten. La pagesia i el món rural han de ser una aposta de país real. Per això, calen inversions, un finançament adequat per cobrir les necessitats de les persones. I no només calen diners. Cal creure en els beneficis que aportem a la societat i se’ns han de compensar. Un centre d’atenció primària, una guarderia, un caixer automàtic o un escorxador municipal són equipaments que potser no són viables econòmicament al món rural, però són un dret, una necessitat.

 

Als pobles hi vivim pocs habitants i, moltes vegades, d’edat avançada. La falta de recursos i d’atenció és el que ens ha portat a aquest desavantatge socioeconòmic. Hem de treballar per garantir la qualitat de vida i la igualtat d’oportunitats que ens mereixem. I aquí, la participació de la dona és imprescindible. Nosaltres tenim una visió transversal dels avantatges i inconvenients de viure a pagès perquè per les nostres mans passen gairebé sempre les tasques de cures, d’atenció a la llar, de gestió de l’empresa i de la feina del camp. El nostre dia a dia fa que aquestes mancances del món rural siguin assumides i gestionades per nosaltres. I ho fem a gust, incansablement, perquè ho fem per a la gent que estimem. Però la societat també ens ha d’estimar una mica més, treballant col·laborativament i amb respecte. Si volem un desenvolupament rural sostenible cal atreure i retenir talent femení. Si a un poble no hi ha dones, el poble mor. Les pageses ho tenim molt clar però tots ens hi heu d’ajudar!”
