Després de dos anys d’aturada, s’ha tornat a celebrar la Festa de la Clotxa de la Ribera d’Ebre

La Festa de la Clotxa de la Ribera d’Ebre ha recuperat el pols aquest diumenge a Móra la Nova, on s’ha celebrat la dissetena edició i s’han repartit 1.150 degustacions. La jornada reivindica un plat d’origen pagès que consisteix en un pa al qual se li treu la molla, s’amaneix amb oli d’oliva i s’omple amb ceba, tomaca, all i una arengada. La festa, cancel·lada dos anys per la pandèmia, s’ha traslladat a la tardor per desestacionalitzar la temporada. A més, dotze restaurants d’arreu de la comarca participen en les jornades gastronòmiques centrades en la clotxa. Un dels primers impulsors del certamen, Joan Ramon Casanova, ha apuntat que és un plat que “ha costat que se li doni importància” i que la festa ha permès canviar aquesta mentalitat.

Pa, tomaca, ceba, all, arengada i un generós raig d’oli. Són els ingredients indispensables d’una bona clotxa, un plat d’origen pagès que es cuina tradicionalment des de la Ribera d’Ebre a la Terra Alta. La recepta, que va néixer en les jornades al camp dels pagesos, gaudeix de variacions i pot substituir el peix per talls de carn. Des del 2003, el Consell Comarcal de la Ribera d’Ebre ha donat a conèixer aquesta proposta gastronòmica a través d’una festa itinerant als pobles de la comarca. La primera edició va tenir lloc a Móra la Nova, punt on aquest diumenge s’ha celebrat la dissetena edició. Segons Casanova, la celebració ha ajudat a canviar el punt de vista de la societat envers aquest plat i l’ha revalorat.

Tot i la pausa obligada de la pandèmia dels últims dos anys, més d’un miler de persones no s’han perdut la dissetena edició de la festa a l’exterior del pavelló firal de Móra la Nova, on des de primera hora del matí s’han preparat les 1.150 degustacions que s’han repartit al llarg de la jornada. Una trentena de voluntaris del municipi han fet possible els envasos, on s’han dipositat els ingredients escalivats. Posteriorment, cadascú havia de preparar la clotxa amb els aliments desitjats. L’organització calcula que 800 tiquets s’han venut de forma anticipada, mentre que la resta s’han comprat presencialment.

 

Entre els assistents, s’hi trobaven visitants que han tastat per primer cop la clotxa, com és el cas de l’Esther Muñoz, natural de la Canonja. “És molt saborós, és la primera vegada que vinc i m’he fet la clotxa al meu gust; sense ceba per a mi, però amb tomaca, arengada i oli. És una oportunitat per passar el diumenge amb les meves amigues”, ha explicat. D’altres, com el tortosí Xavier Blanco, veuen en aquest plat una manera de realçar la gastronomia ebrenca, tant per als veïns de la zona com els turistes.

La primera festa comarcal de la clotxa celebrada a la tardor

Habitualment, la festa comarcal dedicada a la clotxa se celebrava entre febrer i març. Des d’enguany, l’ens supramunicipal ha optat per canviar les dates i fer-la coincidir amb la campanya de l’oli nou. “A la tardor no hi ha tant turisme i és una de les èpoques més bones de l’any, considerem que pot ser un atractiu fer la festa al novembre”, ha apuntat la presidenta del Consell Comarcal de la Ribera d’Ebre, Gemma Carim.

 

Per complementar aquesta desestacionalització, una dotzena de restaurants de la comarca oferiran menús amb la clotxa com a protagonista. La proposta s’allargarà fins al 4 de desembre, amb una forquilla de preus d’entre onze i vint-i-vuit euros. Es tracta d’una iniciativa celebrada pel pregoner de la 17a festa de la clotxa, Julio Monfort, qui remarca que permetrà estendre aquest plat més enllà de les grans celebracions familiars i socials.
