Les vendes a la Fira del Torró i la Xocolata d’Agramunt preveuen una bona campanya de Nadal

La Fira del Torró i la Xocolata a la Pedra d’Agramunt (Urgell) tanca aquest diumenge la seva 33a edició amb un balanç “molt positiu”, tant a nivell d’afluència de públic com de vendes. Tot i la lleugera pujada de preus a causa de l’augment de l’energia i les matèries primeres, els torronaires destaquen que les bones vendes que han tingut a la fira suposen un bon inici de la campanya de Nadal. Tot i que no s’han donat a conèixer xifres concretes, la directora del certamen, Tamara Lombardo, assegura que la fira ha estat un èxit i que “en tot moment hi ha hagut molta gent circulant pels carrers i els pavellons”. A més, destaca la bona acollida de la nova Aula de la Xocolata i el Vi i aposta per la seva continuïtat.

Al llarg de tot el cap de setmana milers de persones han omplert tots espais de la fira, des del recinte firal al centre històric i també tots els espais d’activitats que han comptat amb sessions de cuina en directe i tasts a càrrec de reconeguts professionals de la cuina dolça i productors artesans. “Gairebé totes les sessions han penjat el cartell d’entrades exhaurides, la qual cosa demostra l’alt interès que generen les activitats programades”, ha dit Lombardo.

La directora de la Fira també valora molt positivament el nou espai d’activitats que s’ha estrenat enguany, l’Aula de la Xocolata i el Vi ubicada a l’Espai Guinovart i que ha acollit tasts i activitats infantils amb la DO Costers del Segre. “Esperem que amb els anys sigui una aula de referència com ho són ara la del Gust i la del Tast”, ha dit.

 

Aquest diumenge s’ha celebrat, en una Aula del Gust plena de gom a gom, un acte de record al menestral torronaire Àngel Velasco Pérez, mort el passat mes de setembre i del que l’alcaldessa d’Agramunt, Sílvia Fernàndez, n’ha destacat la gran aportació que va fer al món torronaire i a tots els agramuntins. Seguidament, s’ha nomenat el seu fill, Àngel Velasco Herrero, menestral hereu.

La fira s’ha tancat amb la proclamació del XXI Torronaire d’Honor. Enguany ha estat nomenat Jordi Martí Gasull. La fira ha tancat les seves portes a les nou de la nit però durant tot el mes d’octubre hi ha en marxa la 7a edició de la Ruta Gastronòmica que de nou permet redescobrir el torró i la xocolata en plats tant dolços com salats que preparen 12 restaurants de la demarcació de Lleida.
