Recuperen les restes de 12 soldats republicans a la fossa de Canturri

La consellera de Justícia, Lourdes Ciuró, ha visitat la fossa de Canturri, al municipi de Montferrer i Castellbò (Alt Urgell) on s'han exhumat les restes òssies de dotze individus del període de la Guerra Civil

La consellera de Justícia, Lourdes Ciuró, va visitar ahir dijous la fossa de Canturri, (Alt Urgell) on, gràcies a les tasques d’excavació, s’han exhumat les restes òssies de dotze individus del període de la Guerra Civil. Pel que fa a l’origen de les víctimes exhumades, es tractaria de soldats republicans ferits al front del Pallars i evacuats per Canturri, on l’exèrcit republicà tenia un equip quirúrgic instal·lat a Cal Gravador. Un cop exhumats, les seves restes seran estudiades i s’extrauran mostres genètiques per a permetre la seva identificació. Ciuró ha demanat que la gent s’inscrigui al Programa d’Identificació Genètica i al cens de persones desaparegudes, on ja s’han apuntat unes 500 persones en solament tres setmanes.

Anna Camats, directora arqueòloga de l’excavació, ha explicat que els treballs arqueològics de l’excavació han permès localitzar, de moment, a 12 individus. Les restes han aparegut en fosses individuals no gaire profundes i disposades en dues fileres, on els individus apareixen principalment en posició bocaterrosa. Les restes, a causa possiblement de les propietats del sediment i la profunditat en què estan enterrats, es troben en un estat de conservació fràgil.

 

Camats ha relatat que amb els cossos hi havia diferents objectes com insígnies del Cos de seguretat, cinturons, botons o botes, que han recuperat i que ajuden a identificar la indumentària. També han localitzat objectes personals com una cartera, llapis o plomes estilogràfiques.

Pel que fa a l’origen de les víctimes exhumades, es tractaria de soldats republicans ferits al front del Pallars i evacuats per Canturri, on l’exèrcit republicà tenia un equip quirúrgic instal·lat a Cal Gravador.

 

Gràcies al record d’un veí de Canturri es va localitzar fàcilment la fossa. El Josep recordava haver sentit explicar que al menjador de casa seva hi van instal·lar un equip quirúrgic per guarir als soldats ferits i que els que acabaven morint els enterraven en aquesta finca, molt a prop del poble, de Cal Gravador.

 

Per a dur terme l’excavació de manera exitosa, es va realitzar una prospecció geofísica prèvia a la intervenció a l’àrea indicada pels testimonis. Els resultats obtinguts van assenyalar diferents punts d’alteració del subsol i, per tant, de probabilitat de localització de les inhumacions. Aquest procés va ser possible gràcies a la col·laboració amb la Direcció d’Innovació del Centre de Telecomunicacions i Tecnologies de la Informació (CTTI) i l’Àrea TIC del Departament de Justícia.

Un veí del municipi de Montferrer i Castellbó observa els cossos dels soldats recuperats.

L’arqueòloga ha comentat que en aquest cas la memòria oral ha ajudat molt a l’excavació i la recerca ha corroborat tot el que el Josep recordava perquè li havien explicat. Ara, un cop  exhumats, les seves restes seran estudiades i s’extrauran mostres genètiques per a permetre la seva identificació.

 

Durant la visita, la consellera Ciuró ha fet una crida per ampliar les mostres del Programa d’identificació genètica i així poder retornar les restes exhumades a les famílies. Ciuró ha apel·lat a la ciutadania perquè “aporti mostres genètiques que permetin, juntament amb el Cens de persones desaparegudes, identificar les restes que es van recuperant de les fosses”. La consellera ha afegit que “és de justícia històrica que ajudem a les famílies a tancar el dol”. “Cada cop que podem comunicar a una família que hem localitzat el seu familiar reparem la memòria d’aquest país” ha afegit la consellera.

 

La consellera ha anunciat que aviat retornaran els cossos de tres persones identificadades de la Fossa de Mas de Santa Magdalena als seus familiars. Aquests cossos s’han pogut identificar gràcies al banc d’ADN i a la col·laboració dels familiars.

 

Amb aquesta actuació, ja són 74 les intervencions arqueològiques que ha dut a terme la Generalitat de Catalunya, 12 de les quals aquest 2022.
