La Jornada Gastronòmica de les Plantes Oblidades acull milers de persones a Igualada

El Col·lectiu Eixarcolant ha tornat a aglutinar a la capital de l’Anoia milers de persones interessades en aprendre i assaborir els secrets d’una munió d’espècies vegetals gràcies a la setena edició de la Jornada Gastronòmica de les Plantes Oblidades. En aquesta nova edició de l’esdeveniment anual ha destacat la gran afluència de públic i l’interès creixent que manifesta, evidenciat amb un rècord de participació a totes les activitats dutes a terme.

El poder d’atracció de les plantes silvestres comestibles sumat a la qualitat i quantitat de les activitats realitzades i a la necessitat col·lectiva de tractar amb urgència temes com el despoblament rural, la producció local, la sobirania alimentària, el consum conscient o la necessitat de qüestionar i replantejar el model agrícola actual, tots ells cada cop més visibles no només als mitjans de comunicació, sinó també en el nostre dia a dia, ha impulsat i consolidat l’esdeveniment com un dels imprescindibles de l’any al país.

 

Les xerrades tècniques i aplicades, les demostracions de cuina a l’espai d’etnobotànica en directe, les actuacions musicals, els tallers per adults, les sortides etnobotàniques, el dinar silvestre i les activitats infantils i familiars, han fet les delícies de petits i grans, i han aconseguit excitar l’interès tant d’aquelles persones que han viscut la jornada per primer cop com del públic fidel que hi participa des de les primeres edicions.

Destacar que, enguany, es va presentar una novetat per tal d’apropar a la ciutadania la possibilitat de tastar les plantes oblidades. Durant tota la setmana diversos establiments de restauració d’Igualada van oferir noves propostes gastronòmiques dins dels seus respectius menús i plats diaris amb la incorporació de varietats agrícoles tradicionals i plantes silvestres comestibles. Amb aquesta iniciativa el Col·lectiu Eixarcolant vol aconseguir que allò puntual s’acabi convertint en una realitat quotidiana que, alhora, permeti incrementar el valor i la singularitat dels bars i els restaurants de la zona, i també les de la pagesia per tal que sigui viable incorporar aquestes plantes com a cultius habituals.

 

Un any més, la Jornada Gastronòmica de les Plantes Oblidades ha confirmat que tot és possible quan es construeix gràcies a l’alegria, l’optimisme i les ganes de somiar i compartir, i és que l’element singular que dóna més força a l’esdeveniment és l’organització de caire voluntari que duu a terme el Col·lectiu Eixarcolant. Aquesta darrera edició ha comptat amb més de 190 persones voluntàries vingudes d’arreu amb un somriure permanent, totes amb ganes de participar-ne, de gaudir-ne i d’assolir canvis profunds i necessaris com a societat. Aquesta és l’essència veritable de la JGPO.

Des del Col·lectiu Eixarcolant agraïm especialment la participació a totes les persones voluntàries, ponents, talleristes i paradistes, per haver-ho fet possible, un cop més.
