Jordà firma un memòrandum de col·laboració en l’àmbit ambiental i agroalimentàri amb Andorra

La consellera d’Acció Climàtica, Alimentació i Agenda Rural, Teresa Jordà i Roura, ha mantingut avui una reunió bilateral a Andorra amb la ministra de Medi Ambient, Agricultura i Sostenibilitat, Sílvia Calvó. En el decurs de la cimera bilateral, els dos Governs han acordat impulsar la col·laboració en l’àmbit ambiental i agroalimentari, amb especial interès en la recerca agroalimentària, la gestió de residus, la transició energètica i la predicció meteorològica.

La reunió també ha permès signar un Memoràndum d’entesa en l’àmbit agrícola entre el Departament d’Agricultura del Govern d’Andorra i l’Institut de Recerca i Tecnologia Agroalimentàries (IRTA), centre de recerca agroalimentari de referència a Catalunya, adscrit al Departament.

 

Amb aquest Memoràndum el Govern d’Andorra vol intensificar la seva col·laboració amb l’IRTA en àmbits ja treballats fins ara, com ara la implantació de bones pràctiques de benestar animal, la sanitat vegetal, i els estudis de viabilitat per a produir cànnabis medicinal a Andorra. Però sobretot vol tenir-lo com a centre de referència en la recerca agroalimentària, perquè a Andorra no hi ha cap centre similar. Així, els objectius del memoràndum són establir un marc de cohabitació formal per a dur a terme, de forma conjunta i coordinada, actuacions orientades a promoure, estudiar, i desenvolupar accions en l’àmbit de la recerca, el desenvolupament, i la innovació en el sector agroalimentari.

En aquesta trobada han participat per part de Catalunya el director general de l’IRTA, Josep Usall, la directora de l’Institut Català d’Energia (ICAEN), Marta Morera, la directora del Servei Meteorològic de Catalunya, Sarai Sarroca, així com el director del Serveis Territorials del Departament a Lleida, Pirineu i Aran, Ferran de Noguera.

 

La delegació andorrana també la integraven el director del Departament d’Agricultura, Josep Casals, la directora del Departament de Medi Ambient i Sostenibilitat, Sílvia Ferrer, el director de l’Oficina de l’Energia i del Canvi Climàtic (OECC), Carles Miquel, i el director d’Afers Bilaterals i Consulars del Ministeri d’Afers Exteriors andorrà, Andreu Jordi.
