El Mercat Medieval de Vic va generar un impacte econòmic de 27,4 milions d’euros. Així ho recull l’estudi d’impacte econòmic encarregat per l’Ajuntament de Vic, que analitzar els efectes directes, indirectes i induïts del certamen. Aquest 2021 el Mercat Medieval va comptar amb més de 320.000 visitants, dels quals uns 258.000 van ser visitants únics. Segons l’estudi, cada euro invertit va suposar un retorn de 140 euros. Una dada que, segons el regidor de Fires i Mercats, Titi Roca, “consolida Vic com a ciutat de fires i mercats”. Segons el regidor 7,5 milions han impactat directament en l’economia local i s’han creat 228 llocs de treball equivalents a temps complet.
L’estudi es va elaborar a partir de 557 enquestes fetes als visitants del Mercat Medieval. Pel que fa a l’assistència el recompte es va fer manualment, in situ, de 10 del matí a 8 del vespre durant els cinc dies que va durar.
Segons l’estudi d’impacte econòmic, cada visitant va gastar una mitjana de 74,9 euros. Per grups, el 80% de la despesa correspondria a alimentació al Mercat, 54% a restauració al Mercat, 51% en artesania al Mercat, 10% en comerços de Vic, 6% en restauració de la ciutat i un 2% en altres despeses.
Els perfils
D’acord amb l’estudi, el Mercat Medieval es consolida com una fira de caràcter familiar. Dels visitants la majoria provenien de la província de Barcelona (64%), un 20% de Vic i Osona, un 9% de Girona, un 4% de Lleida, un 2% de Tarragona i un 1% d’Espanya i altres països.
9 de cada 10 visitants hi tornarien
Pel que fa a la valoració dels visitants, el Mercat treu una nota mitjana de 8,1%. A més, 9 de cada 10 van assegur que tenen intenció de tornar-hi.
