La UAB confirma que l’animal vist a l’Aran fa dues setmanes era un llop

La Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) ha confirmat que la mostra biològica recollida pels Agents de Medi Ambient del Conselh Generau d’Aran fa dues setmanes a la boca sud del túnel de Vielha correspon a un llop d’estirp italiana de la subespècie ‘Canis lupus italicus‘, a l’espera de la identificació i sexatge de l’animal. El 15 de novembre, el conductor d’una màquina llevaneu que treballava a la zona va alertar els Agents de Medi Ambient de l’Aran després d’observar un animal que semblava un llop. El més probable és que es tracti d’un mascle errant que ostenta un ampli territori, que pot anar des de la Vall de Benasc al Parc Nacional d’Aigüestortes o més enllà, segons han indicat des del Conselh d’Aran.

La identificació del llop ha estat possible a partir de l’anàlisi de les mostres d’orina retingudes a la neu i recollides pels tècnics del Conselh Generau d’Aran al costat de l’N-230, prop de la boca sud del túnel de Vielha, on l’animal va aprofitar per a marcar el territori.

 

La població més pròxima de la subespècie ‘Canis lupus italicus’ es troba al massís central francès, d’on es produeixen emissions de mascles expulsats de les manades locals, que apareixen de manera esporàdica als Pirineus.

 

D’altra banda, una càmera de seguiment de l’ós bru va captar el 9 de novembre un exemplar de llop al terme municipal d’Alins (Pallars Sobirà), al Parc Natural de l’Alt Pirineu. Es tracta de la primera dada confirmada de presència d’aquesta espècie al Pallars Sobirà.
