La tempesta al Baix Ebre i el Montsià ha malmès conreus d’olivera i camps d’arròs

La forta tempesta d’aquest dimarts, amb molta acumulació d’aigua, i que va anar acompanyada de calamarsa i també de fortes ratxes de vent, han malmès nombrosos conreus d’olivera i ha inundat camps d’arròs, al Baix Ebre i al Montsià. El temporal ha trencat branques, també de garrofers, i es va endur les olives que estaven a terra per a plegar. A l’Ametlla de Mar, una mànega de vent en va arrencar de soca-rel i va causar moltes destrosses a les explotacions. El sindicat Unió de Pagesos (UP) també alerta que la inundació als camps d’arròs provoca un aiguabarreig que pot facilitar la dispersió de la plaga del caragol maçana. Si deixa de ploure i s’assequen els camps de pressa, no es preveu afectacions als cítrics.

La mànega de vent va causar importants danys en tanques, camins, pistes forestals i accessos a les finques de l’Ametlla de Mar. L’esclafit va sortir de la urbanització Roques Daurades, va travessar l’N-340 i l’antiga nacional fins al límit amb el terme del Perelló.

 

La valoració dels danys als camps d’arròs i les seves infraestructures encara no s’ha pogut fer de forma acurada. “S’intueixen desperfectes” però caldrà esperar uns dies per accedir a les finques. Quant als cítrics, si no plou molt més i els camps s’eixuguen aviat, no es preveuen “problemes”. Tot i això, hi ha camps i finques inundades.

 

El sindicat demana amb urgència que els ajuntaments reparin camins i infraestructures i que el Departament d’Acció Climàtica faci “una valoració ràpida i acurada” dels danys per poder indemnitzar “de manera justa” la pagesia i aplicar mesures, com l’adequació de la fiscalitat de l’IRPF a les pèrdues que es comptabilitzin.
