Avui celebrem el Dia Internacional de la Dona rural, ¿És suficient per a visibilitzar el seu paper?

¿És suficient tenir un Dia Internacional de la Dona rural perquè deixi de ser un paper quasi invisible en aquesta societat?

Des del 1995 que les dones que es dediquen a feines del primer sector tenen el seu propi dia: El Dia Internacional de la Dona rural. Però, ¿Sabem a què es dediquen? ¿Som conscients de la feina que fan? Fa vint-i-sis anys que els hi dediquem un dia, però inclús així el paper de la dona sempre queda en segon pla, dins d’una indústria que ja de per si està invisibilitzada i maltractada per part de les institucions.

En l’imaginari col·lectiu, tenim la figura del pagès molt marcada, com a un home gran amb força que sempre s’ha dedicat als seus camps, i extrapolem el mateix estereotip als ramaders, viticultors i treballadors del sector primari, sempre en masculí. És per això que el paper de la dona ens passa més desapercebut i ens costa imaginar les seves tasques: el sector ha estat, històricament, dominat per homes i, tot i que fa anys que les dones estan davant de granges i cultius, en molts casos se les continua tractant com a treballadores de segona, i no com les directives que són.

La importància de la dona dins d’aquest sector recau en diferents sectors, tal com s’esmenta a l’article “Una terra de dones pageses” de Laura Saula, la dona té el poder de “recol·locació”, és a dir, on hi ha la dona hi ha la família. Però la dona no només és valorada per aquest fet, com podem veure en l’article, se’ns presenten projectes liderats per dones, amb un objectiu sostenible i ecològic, i una mirada delicada que les fa cuidar la terra i els animals amb els que es guanyen la vida. En la mostra de 8 dones amb feines i històries completament diferents, podem intuir com moltes han patit el masclisme del sector en la seva pell, amb accions “lleus” però constants, com dirigir-se a les seves parelles en comprar maquinària o que els treballadors rebin millor les ordres del marit, per exemple.

Tot i això, les dones tenen la pell dura i no es rendeixen a la mínima, i tot i les dificultats que ja es troben en aquest sector i les imposades pel fet de ser dones, cada cop hi ha més dones dedicant-se a la terra. Cada cop troben més suport entre elles, des del 2008 que es va posar en marxa l’entitat “dones en el món rural”, que serveix per reivindicar el seu paper en la indústria i fer-lo visible, i també hem viscut aquest any la presentació de l’entitat “Cava Women“, en el sector del cava i del vi.

Cada cop tenim més present l’existència i importància de la dona i en el sector, així i tot, tenint en compte que fa vint-i-sis anys que celebrem aquest dia, creiem que s’hauria d’haver avançat molt més en aquest tema. Tot i que mirem al futur amb positivitat, i ganes de veure com augmenten les oportunitats per la dona en aquest sector, i com de mica en mica ho tenen més fàcil per desenvolupar-se en aquest món que tantes ja estimen, aprecien i s’han fet seu.
